Emergency management course with focus on mountain bike
Outdoor first aid with bike scenarios
Our outdoor first aid course with a focus on mountain biking deals with the topic of how to react correctly in the event of a major fall, what to look out for, what you should do and what you can do at all. So it comes to the rough fall, helmet broken, handlebars in the belly… But what now? What’s next? Is the casualty breathing, or not? Are there any obvious injuries? How to proceed now? What comes first? What is important? Ten seconds for ten minutes, treat first what kills first, and the ABCDE scheme can be important tools to fall back on in an emergency. Of course, we hope you never need the content of this course, but if you do, it may save lives. And we all know: Unfortunately, there is always a residual risk on the mountain.
Procedure of the mountain bike emergency management course:
We start the evening before the course with an online theory session. Here we explain the procedure and the most important behavior in a mountain bike emergency and try to answer relevant questions from you. On the practice day, things get down to business. In the time window from 9:00 to 16:00 we practice on the basis of case studies and realistic scenarios in the field until everyone feels more confident in the matter of first aid and can fall back in the back of the head on an applicable emergency scheme.
