With mountain guide on the road in Tyrol

Your mountain guides in Tirol

We are a team of certified mountain guides with years of practical experience, what unites us is the passion for mountain sports. This we also want to pass on and therefore offer the following:

  • Courses – We teach you how to do it and what you need to know.
  • Tours – We show you our most beautiful and charming tours.
  • Pictures – We document your mountain experiences

Our main offer is in our home mountains in Tyrol. This is where the majority of our courses take place. As far as tours and travels are concerned, however, we are regularly on the road throughout the Alps and beyond. Also privately our mountain guides are almost daily climbing, mountaineering or mountain biking. The main thing 365 days on the mountain.

Our philosophy

Safety – Challenge – Fun

Tours optimized for our guests:
Checked out, tested and guided by our state-certified mountain guides.

Small groups – Great experience

Events with a low number of participants, because the quality, the learning success and the experience are clearly in the foreground.

Training for self-employment

The goal of our courses is to bring you further. To make you safe and confident climbers or alpinists. To provide you with the know-how and skills to plan and execute tours independently and on your own responsibility.

High altitude tours with mountain guide

The high mountains exert a certain fascination on every mountain sportsman. To stand at the summit, where there is no higher to go, and let your gaze wander into the distance, is balm for the soul. But these high mountains are not easily earned. Besides physical fitness, you also need a lot of know-how and experience to move safely in the high alpine area. As mountain guides, we will gladly teach you everything you need to know to safely master independent tours on crevasse-rich glaciers and exposed ridges. Alpine dangers, belaying techniques on rock and ice, as well as tour planning are a fixed component of our courses.

If you don’t have so much experience yet, or if you have a certain desired mountain which is still above your current skill level, we will be happy to guide and advise you within the framework of a private tour. Possible tour destinations range from technically easy tours like the Großvenediger to challenging routes like the Stüdlgrat on the Großglockner. Our mountain guides are locals in Tyrol and know their way around our local mountains. But with regular guests we also like to go regularly for joint tour weeks in the 4000m world of the Western Alps.

Alpine climbing for beginners and professionals

It is well known that we mountain guides love climbing. Climbing is a passion and the supreme discipline is of course long alpine multi-pitch tours on high walls. If you have already gained solid sport climbing experience and want to venture into the bigger walls, we will give you the necessary tools in our courses. Equipment know-how, belay technique, route selection and the necessary rope technique for the retreat are a minimum set of skills that one should have before embarking on major climbing adventures.

You have a dream tour in mind, but you are not sure if you are up to it? We will be happy to advise you and prepare you for this adventure. In addition, we are always highly motivated to accompany you on alpine climbs and guide you through the key sections. Whether in the Karwendel, the Wilder Kaiser, the Wetterstein or the Zillertal, we mountain guides in Tyrol know and love our walls and are ready for joint tours. For our regular guests we are also happy to organize alpine climbing trips to high walls throughout the Alps and beyond. Send us a non-binding request.

Via ferrata in Tyrol

Via Ferrata or Via Ferrata are becoming increasingly popular. Mountains, exposure and height are made accessible here even for people who have not been climbing for years. You follow a wire rope which is used for securing with a via ferrata set through steep walls. Iron clamps allow better climbing and gripping. So if you have no or little climbing experience, but also want to experience the exposure of the mountains up close for once, the via ferrata is just right for you. And once you’ve smelled the fuse, there are endless possibilities in the Alpine region for all skill levels.

But beware! Via ferrata is a serious undertaking, and a fall usually ends up more painful than classic rope climbing. We therefore recommend that beginners make their first experiences together with a certified mountain guide who will take care of the necessary safety framework. We offer regular via ferrata tours in Tyrol with us around Stubaital and around Innsbruck. Sign up for your trip to the vertical mountain world.

Mountain hiking and trekking

Hike mountains and experience nature. More and more people are drawn to the outdoors. Breathtaking landscapes, beautiful sunsets, convivial evenings in huts. We offer you guided hikes and crossings of individual mountain groups. What you need to bring is a good basic condition, a love of the mountains and nature and the motivation to discover new things. Each of our hikes is a little voyage of discovery. Behind every bend something new is waiting, a clear stream, a beautiful flower meadow, great panorama, or maybe once an ibex.

We offer hiking and trekking tours in the Alps. Our recommendation are crossings of several days, because here the experience is by far the greatest. In addition to classics such as the very beautiful Stubai High Trail, or the Berlin High Trail, we also have some unknown gems in the Petto which we will gladly explain to you on request. Hiking on unknown trails, our local mountain guides in Tyrol know the best spots.

Sport climbing on the rock

Sport climbing in climbing gyms is becoming increasingly popular, but here an essential component is missing: Nature. Rock climbing is more than just climbing. It is an experience, a challenge and more diverse than any hall can ever be. For training, the hall is perfect, but if you want to get out on the real rock, but have little or no experience in the area, you are at the right address. We will show you the correct use of belay devices, how to properly lead and give you valuable tips on technique and flow of movement on the rock.

Climbing, by the way, is also the perfect vacation sport. Climbing trips offer a super mix of excitement and relaxation. A climbing trip to Italy to dream rock, sun, pizza and vino? Or rather Kalymnos? How about Turkey? Or to France in the summer. You want to go on an organized sport climbing trip, then get in touch!

Ice climbing

Climbing on frozen waterfalls is a form of alpinism which is possible only in a very limited period of time each year at a reasonable risk. This makes the planning all the more exciting and the greater the joy when a plan works out really well and a proper tour succeeds. Ice climbing is often cold and wet, your fingers freeze and you’re scared. But that is precisely what has its appeal. We would be happy to introduce you to ice climbing on a course, show you how to use the equipment correctly and what is important when climbing and planning.

If you already have a tour in mind that you really want to do, but lead climbing in steep ice is not your thing, don’t hesitate to contact us. In our mountain guide team there are some real ice climbing specialists, they will bring you up every fall without any problems. At least if the structure of the icefall allows it and your forearms are strong enough.

Why go to the mountains with a mountain guide?

The advantages of a mountain guide are obvious. Your wishes will be taken into account and the tour will be planned exactly according to your ideas and abilities. The range extends from relaxed mountain days where the enjoyment of nature is in the foreground, to challenging climbs in rock and ice. The personal attention increases the progress, success and satisfaction on the mountain enormously. Your mountain guide can take your training level into consideration and adapt his pace to yours. Thus, together we can get the best out of each day and also plan future tours, nature experiences and adventures together. And as a souvenir there are of course a few high-quality pictures, where you are also guaranteed on it.

All state-certified mountain guides in Austria must undergo a three-year training which also corresponds to the international standard. It is the highest qualification that can be obtained in alpine management. All mountain guides at Flat Sucks have naturally achieved this level of training and have added to it through years of practical experience with people in the mountains. By the way, we only work with mountain guides with whom we are also privately on the trail, that is, with whom we fully trust. In addition, we attach great importance to having fun at work, because that is the only way to make sense of working with people.
